Only 10 were chosen out of over 100,000 entrepreneurs registered with Funding Universe to make a presentation to their accredited investors on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 in Salt Lake City. WE’RE ONE OF THE TOP TEN!
This represents a major step forward for us in our efforts to raise capital under the new corporation, GlobalTmail USA, Inc. We expect to meet 15 to 20 new investors next Wednesday and believe there is a very good chance of making our first official stock sale under the Private Placement Memorandum that we crafted during July and August.
Funding Universe hosts more than 50 forums each year such as the one we are attending next week all over the United States. If this one proves to be as successful as we believe it will be, we’ll be making application to present our business opportunity in many of these forums during the next 6 months to year. We’ll be participating in something they call “Speed Pitch.” Their website gives a description of this event, as well as the several other events they host.
Of the seven different “angel investor’ organizations I have found, this one appears to be the most active and might just be the most effective. Their philosophy is different from the others. They charge nothing to bring the investors and entrepreneurs together. Instead, they make their money from mortgage brokerage fees on the mortgages they can broker from these meetings. They don’t make anything at all from companies such as ours. The best I can figure out is that this is the same concept we use, and most other big online firms use. We give away something very valuable because that creates an audience. Money is made on the small percent of the total participants to actually pay us.
I can see why this company ranked #34 on the Inc. 500 Fastest Growing Companies in America. This is a service that is desperately needed and will be used continually by all the growing companies out there who are seeking more capital. Like us!
