This week, for the first time ever, we’ll begin a national marketing campaign designed to sell the 2,500 AMG Memberships that will complete the Bonus Fund and the Port Referral Group maximum sign-ups. These are the people who will share in gross company revenue for up to 6 years. These twin profit-sharing revenue systems (the AMG and the PRG) are limited to the first 2,500 people to join as paid members. As of this writing, I plan to report the progress toward that goal in this blog on a periodic basis. This is another “first” because we’ve never published actual sales data. In this case, it’s beneficial to everyone now that' we’re starting an aggressive nationwide sales campaign. Eventually, we will begin posting sales results online in a yet-to-be-decided place that’s conspicuous and easy to find for all of you who follow such things.
The GroupCallerTM campaign is a voice broadcast campaign that targets small business owners and others in all 50 states. We’ll be running an IVR campaign. IVR stands for “Interactive Voice Response”, which is just an industry-standard term that means the pre-recorded voice message will ask questions of the called party, and record their responses. The questions are simple. Those who express an interest in the AMG membership will be asked for their name, email address and phone number plus the best time to call. I have substantial experience in this industry. In a “past life”, one of my companies operated one of the country’s largest outbound voice broadcast facilities for many, many years, and made hundreds of millions of voice broadcast phone calls. For years, we closed several thousand sales each and every working day as a result of this massive dialing campaign. We’re preparing to repeat history.
From my experience, I expect to see initial response rates at about 0.1%. To expect any higher than that on a first-try, with an outdated list would be unrealistic (we’re using an outdated list because it saves the substantial up front investment in a new list, which I believe should wait until we fully test and maximize response rates on the the script). Believe it or not, even this small response rate is sufficient to create a very profitable campaign that’s large enough to completely change this company very quickly. I’ll only start operating the system on 6 ports (6 phone lines) which will have the ability to make about 5,000 phone calls each day. We should be able to rapidly expand the number of ports (lines) as we develop a profitable campaign. I’m expecting we’ll initially find between 3 and 8 new inquiries each and every working day. I have a small spear-head team of sales people who will follow up on all these leads. Also, I’ll personally monitor the response rates and work on adjusting the script until we achieve a minimum of 0.2% response rate. I believe we can eventually see response rates upwards of 1.0% or perhaps even greater by improving the demographics of the list we’re calling.
Please stay tuned! Next week at this time, I hope to publish the results of the first day or two of this campaign, which I hope to start by next Friday, January 28, 2011.
