Since yesterday’s article I have had several communications with our developers in India and Pakistan. We withdrew the bid award that we gave to the lowest priced bidder because they didn’t respond to my inquiries between Friday and Tuesday. This morning, I finally got a detailed response at about 3:00 am. The principal of the company was out of town and unable to communicate until he returned to the office yesterday. His explanation is sufficient for me.
I also had a good conversation with a developer in Pakistan. This man got his BS in Computer Science in New York and also worked right here in Salt Lake City and also in Idaho for Dell Computers. He’s now back in Pakistan, has perfect English and is very skilled in the technology we’re developing. I was quite impressed with his credentials and his familiarity with the USA and with the concepts we must bring to market before the end of this month.
As of this writing I have not made a firm decision about which developer we’ll select. The lowest price is actually a company with a staff, and will devote a 2-man team full time to us until the project is complete. The higher priced bid is a small one-man company that has been very responsive, has good credentials with the bidding company, and appears to have a masterful grasp on the technology he’ll be completing for us. I have sent some final questions to each of them asking for a response. Their answers will help me decide. I’ll consult with Jeff Wilson before making a final choice, as this is one of the most important decisions we’ll make concerning our progress through the rest of this year. It’s critical to find the right developer(s) to complete the GroupCaller because we’ll need to work with them continually during this rapid growth period while we conduct our massive campaign to recruit 2,500 or more new AMG members.
The bottom line is this: We’re only a week or two away from beginning this massive dialing campaign to reach 10’s of millions of Americans with our message. We fully expect to make thousands of AMG membership sales from this campaign, which I expect to last close to a year (it takes time to make 10’s of millions of phone calls and follow up on the responses.) Before we’re done, all the IT applications in our presentation should be rolled out and operational. For the first time, I feel comfortable in laying claim to an expectation of rapid growth in membership, IT development and especially cash flow through the rest of this year.
Very good and encouraging Rich. I have trust and confidence in you and Jeff that the right company will be selected and will make a complete operational system now and beyond.
