Yesterday after I learned that we aren’t likely to get these bugs fixed until tomorrow or later, I spent a good deal of my day working on another project. We’ve had requests many times for logo shirts, cups, caps and some sales materials. You likely don’t know this, but more than a year ago we established an online store for the purpose of selling specific sales materials and logo merchandise to our Associate sales team and anyone else who wants the products. I had lost the administration login so after many attempts and some intelligent guessing between Jeff and I, the key was finally located and I’m now once again on the “inside” of the company store, cruising around and re-learning how to set it up.
Today I’m going downtown to source out some shirts and other items which I’ll place in this store by the end of this week. You can take a look at it right now if you want to by checking the scrolling news on our home page. But if you go there, but keep in mind, this is NOT the current merchandise available (except for the sales presentation flip chart). I’ll be making changes to the items available this week, so keep watching this blog and I’ll announce it as soon as I have added a few more items and deleted those items that are obsolete and no longer available.
As far as starting up our calling campaign, I’m expecting to be in touch with Abhishek again tomorrow (the 6th). Because he’s away from his office working full time on another project I really don’t expect him to help us debug the problem here until he returns. He said that would be on the 6th. Although this delay is a set back, it is not a serious one. I believe the partnership we have formed with Abhishek and his staff is very important to us. They’re very skilled at the technology we need and cost us far less than anyone we could find here in the USA. Furthermore, our terms with them are such that they must complete the task before they get paid. This is a very important aspect of our working relationship and is serving us well, especially at the time being.
I’m sorry I cannot say more right now about “when” the dialing starts, but I feel confident that we’ll be making calls by Friday, based on Ab’s message yesterday.
