What a week. We started off by fixing the problem with the VoIP provider on Monday. Through the rest of the week we tested and re-tested and made adjustments to the software. As an example, tonight we had another lengthy session with Ahmed and just one of many adjustments made was related to call quality. When somebody picked up the phone, the recording started too early. This is being adjusted right now as I write up this article. Another correction made Tuesday to Thursday was the recording quality. The initial settings provided a small file size, but the quality was terrible with static, hum, pop in the background. It was very hard to understand. We adjusted the KHZ and bit rate (don’t ask…ha!) and voila…corrected…and STILL a small file size. The small file size is what enables us to limit the bandwidth needed for lots of concurrent calls. (i.e. we can make 225 calls at the same time for only about 4 meg upload bandwidth. Our single server can do that many calls all at once! Naturally, we’ll be adding many more servers before the year is done.
Tomorrow, Jeff, myself and Ahmed will convene an online conference session at around 1 pm, while Nate and Melanie are on their PC’s at home. We configured the call campaign, have the database prepared, etc. We’ll make the first “live” calls during a 2 hour session tomorrow and analyze the results. I expect we’ll need to make a number of adjustments and corrections. Next week, I’m expecting that we’ll make calls daily and continue to work out the bugs and any potential problems.
By Monday, June 13, I expect we’ll be ready to add our 3rd Remote Agent; then 4th, and so on. As the summer progresses and we continue gathering new Remote Agents Licensee’s, we’ll be adding to the equipment and bandwidth to cover the additional volume. You can also be certain that our GroupCaller policies will change according to our business needs as we learn more about what we’re doing.
THE REASON FOR BONUS FUND AND PORT EARNINGS
By the time we reach our milestone of 400 Remote Agents (possibly later this summer), I expect our policies and systems to be relatively solid. One of the reasons for giving away such massive financial benefits to all those who joined in the past as an AMG Member or buy a license in the future during the Phase I Marketing Campaign is simply because YOU are the people who help us develop the policies that make it relatively easy for future Associates to earn money, and make it possible for us to roll out the many great FREE applications we’ve announced!
The Beta Testing phase is really a prototype development phase. In a few years, those of you who buy the Remote Agent License or who joined the PRG and/or AMG early in our history will be able to look back and say “…I was there when it all began …. “. I have always found it to be a thrill to be in on the development of a project that starts small and “goes big”. That’s what we’re doing, and YOU are already a part of it if you’re reading this article.
REMINDER ABOUT GOING PRIVATE
Many of you already know this, but soon, this blog will be “going private.” It will only be available to ‘paid’ and ‘paying’ PRG Members, AMG Members and Licensed Remote Agents. These are the people with a vested interest in our future success. The whole purpose behind this blog is NOT to entertain or inform the public. It’s to keep those of you with a vital interest in our development appraised of our progress. So, I’m estimating that I’ll have the new password-protected blog site up and running before the end of June.
TRIP TO ALASKA
By the way, I’ll be going to Anchorage, Alaska to attend my 40 year high school class reunion between June 15 and June 20. Some of my old classmates contacted me when they learned I was NOT planning to go. They put some money together and paid for my travel expense up there and back including food and a place to stay. So, I guess I’m going! I haven’t seen these folks since the 20 year reunion in 1991, so it’s going to be a real treat for me. Kinda weird though … now they’re mostly a bunch of Granny’s and Grandpa’s … (I haven’t joined that crowd…YET.)
Even though this is an R & R trip, I’ll still be working with my laptop up in Anchorage, my original home town. I’ll make sure the campaigns continue to operate. This is one of the great features about the GroupCaller system! I can Administer it from anywhere as long as I’m connected to the Internet !
OH … by the way … did you know the sun does NOT set at this time of year in Anchorage? It gets “dusk” but that’s about it. That’s why there’s no fireworks on the 4th of July. Bet you didn’t know THAT, eh? I’ll post some pictures…you’ll see!
